My destination...

I applied to 5 universities offering undergraduate courses in Management with Marketing/Marketing Management. I still have not got any offer...so I am a bit upset. I am particularly interested in two universities: Lancaster University and RGU Aberdeen. The letter is likely to be my firm offer (as long as I get one). Lancaster Management School has very high requirements, so it would be my insurance choice if was given a conditional offer.

*You may also read an interview about studying at RGU.

*If you want to know more, just take a look at the RGU's profile here: The Complete University Guide.

*What do Aberdeen and The Aberdeen Business School have on offer for you? Just read The Biz.

*You just have to watch Robert Gordon University's profile on YouTube!!!:  http://www.youtube.com/robertgordonuni

What you should know about the RGU:

  • In 1720 Robert Gordon retired to Aberdeen, having amassed a considerable fortune in Poland. On his death 11 years later he willed his entire estate to build a residential school for educating young boys.
  • The Sunday Times named Robert Gordon University their Scottish University of the Year 2011 and first in Scotland for graduate-level jobs. It said: "With a graduate unemployment rate that is lower than the most famous universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, plus a flourishing reputation for research, high student satisfaction rates and ambitious plans for its picturesque campus, Robert Gordon University is The Sunday Times Scottish University of the Year".
  • The Sunday Times named Robert Gordon University the Best Modern University in the UK for 2012.
  • It said: "With just 3.8% of graduates unemployed six months after leaving, a degree from Robert Gordon University (RGU) is as near to a guarantee of a job after graduation as you can get.....RGU's graduates don't just get jobs, they get good ones, with 84.9% securing jobs commensurate with their qualifications...with starting salaries at an impressive £20,897"
  • If you are the EU student, you do not have to pay tuition fess, as it is funded by SAAS!

  • RGU offers students the opportunity to undertake a fieldwork placement and also has Study Abroad opportunities for undergraduate students supported by Placement Office and Study Abroad team

ABERDEEN

It is set in Aberdeen which is called the Oil Capital of Europe or the Energy Capital of Europe! Aberdeen is Scotland’s third largest city and located between the mouths of the Don and the Dee. It has a long sandy beach between the two rivers which turns into high sand dunes north of the Don.

Due to its sparkling granite buildings Aberdeen is often called the ‘Granite City’ or the ‘Silver City and Aberdeen’s skyline certainly is the most recognizable in Scotland. It boasts a wide range of shops, award-winning cuisine and a vibrant nightlife and is well worth a visit.
